Puebla is situated in the very center of the principal route between Veracruz and Mexico City. As such Puebla was on the main road of the empire and the principal trade route of the baroque era, a path uniting the two fascinating hemispheres and cultures of Asia and Europe.
The location of the city of Puebla was said to be chosen by the angels and its regional dishes are often thought of as heaven-sent as well.

In Puebla there are two volcanoes, Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. According to a legend from the Pre-Hispanic era tell that Iztaccíhuatl, the daughter of a Poblano man, fell in love with Popocatépetl, a brave warrior. The Poblano man told the warrior that if he wanted to marry his daughter, then he would have to defeat the leader of the city's enemy. After many years Popocatépetl came back as a victorius heroe, but only to find out that Iztaccíhuatl had died several years earlier.
Out of grief and despair, the brave warrior found the strength to honor the memory of his beloved for centuries to come. Popocatépetl and 20 thousand of his men constructed a hill. On its top he layed her down, and he remained there keeping vigil with a torch.
Since then Iztaccíhuatl is known as "la mujer blanca" (the white woman), and Popocatépetl as "la montaña que humea" (the mountain that smokes).

We enjoy preparing food and receiving people as if they were our guests coming to our home. We have been preparing meals and welcoming guests for more than 10 years, and we plan to dedicate our lives to this.
Our mission is to prepare for you the best "Comida Poblana" and "Margarita de verdad", and to welcome you as a guest and a good friend.

As we noted in our Invitation, our goal is to have you experience the quintessential Comida Poblana. This distinctive cuisine is rich in flavors and provides a balanced diet. "It does have something special" that people recognize but can't describe. We hear that sentiment over and over. We know some of the reasons: the freshness and selection of our ingredients, and our meticulous, loving preparation and presentation. |

Were deligted with our staff! Many of them started with us 11 years ago. We create dishes together, work hard and have fun. We repeatedly hear from our customers compliments about our staff, and we are the first to agree that our workers are gracious, efficient and professional.
